Large Antique Persian Ziegler Carpet. This incredible rug was woven in Sultanabad around the late 19th century. A Swiss firm Ziegler company,based in Manchester , England began exporting carpets with Large scale, over-sized designs and soft colors where the demand was high. I guess this marks the big inning of the Art and Craft era.
