The University of the Arts welcomes Kadir Nelson, an award winning figurative painter of heroic subjects in American culture depicted in a rich palette. Nelson has created artwork for a host of distinguished clients including Michael Jackson, Drake, Sports Illustrated, Coca-Cola, and Dreamworks SKG and was recently featured on CBS’ 60 Minutes. Currently, Nelson’s paintings are permanently displayed in the The National Baseball Hall of Fame, International Olympic Committee headquarters, and the US House of Representatives.
