Help bring Evan home!

This isn’t a usual posting, obviously, but it’s a dire one. My poor friend has lost custody of her son to the father, who has and currently does emotionally and physically abuse him, and his father’s fiance has sexually abused him. She has plenty of evidence that this is happening, and no one will help her. The amazing story is so long, and incredulous it makes me physically sick to my stomach.

Please help her raise the retainer for her attorney. This is her last hope. If she loses in court she won’t see her son until he’s an adult. Even just $1 would be amazing and helpful.

If you can’t donate, please reblog this. You may help save Evan’s life.

This happened last night, and Stacie called me right after it happened. She was terrified for her son, and NOTHING IS BEING DONE!

My son, Evan Lillibridge (DOB 9.02.2010) called me at 9:32 p.m. crying from his father’s house. There was some sort of domestic dispute going on. He stated he “was scared”. He said, “Oh, no Mom. There’s gonna be a fight. Don’t let her hear you.” I knew they had it on speaker phone. I quietly said,“Evan, it will be okay. I told you I will keep you safe.” He stated, “When can I come home, Mama?” “Are you ever gonna come get me?” He started crying. Really crying. “ I want you to come and get me, Mom. I miss you. I miss Buddy and Zeke.” I told him I was working on it and that there were so many people praying for him. I asked him if he was safe as I ran across the street to my neighbor’s.  I could hear more screaming, raging and banging.  Evan stated, "She heard you, Mom. Now she’s heard you!“ He started crying again. I asked if he felt safe. Evan stated he did not feel safe.  My neighbor called Springfield Police Department. I could hear the fiancee yelling and screaming to hang the phone up. I told him not to–it would be okay. I said it was the right thing to call. I told him to stay on the phone with me. He asked to have some privacy (as his dad was listening). I stated, that’s fine.–you can have some privacy. His dad stated, “NO! I wanna hear what you have to say to yer mom!” The custody agreement clearly states there is to be no regulating of phone calls. It states that he may call me whenever he wishes and I may call him. Evan stated, “Dad says I can only call you three times a week. I wanna talk to you more, Mama–please!.” I stated, “I understand how you feel and you can call when you want.” I made a plan to get Evan my phone number so he can learn it. I heard he and his dad talk about the battery getting low and then the phone went dead.“  Springfield Police Department determined he is “safe”. It is protocol that a child cannot be spoken to privately, of course. So it is he/said, she/said, yet again. So I am assured it will generate a DHS report. The good news is I found an attorney to take the case for a $1,000 retainer.”
